The Mobile Application of the Civil Registry and Identification Service of Chile allows users to request a reprint of their identification card.

The request for a reprint will preserve the data, photograph, and expiration date of the previous identification card. The reasons for requesting a reprint are: theft, loss, or personal preference.

The requirements for reprinting an identification card are as follows:

• Being at least 16 years old at the time of the last application
• The applicant must have obtained their identification card after September 2013
• The current identification card must have a validity of at least one month before its expiration date
• The person must not have another ID card in process
• The person's name, gender, or date of birth must not have changed compared to their last obtained ID card

Instructions for using the application:

• At the beginning of the application, you will need to enter your Run number (national identification number) without dots or hyphens.
• In the next screen, you will need to enter your mother's first name and the municipality of your current address. For the latter field, you will need to select the municipality from the provided list of suggestions.
• After passing these two screens, you will be prompted to enter a verification code that will be automatically sent to your email. You will then need to check your email.
• Once you have completed all three validations, a delivery information form will be displayed. You will need to enter an email address where you will receive the receipt for picking up your identification card. Additionally, you will need to select the reason for your reprint request: theft, loss, or personal preference. If you select personal preference, your current card will be blocked upon issuing the new one at the office. However, if you select theft or loss, your current card will be blocked upon requesting the reprint.
• You will then need to select the office where you want to pick up your identification card. First, you must select the region, then the municipality, and finally the Civil Registry office where you wish to pick up the document.
• Once you have completed the above requirements, a facial authentication screen will appear. Through facial biometric techniques, it will verify that the user in front of the camera matches the facial biometrics contained in the Civil Registry and Identification Service's database. Two points will be displayed, which you must select by moving your face according to the instructions shown below the screen.
• If you successfully complete the biometric verification screen, a screen with your full name will appear, allowing you to proceed to the payment window.
• The WebPay window will be displayed, where you can enter your bank details to pay for the request and complete the process.

Once the payment has been made, you will see the final screen of the flow indicating that your request has been successfully submitted and that the receipt has been sent to your email address.
